PINGALA

VINYASA STYLE

MONDAY - 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Pingala Vinyasa Class Overview

Welcome to our Pingala program at Dhamma Yoga. In yogic philosophy, Pingala represents the solar channel—associated with heat, activity, and physical vitality. This session is a dynamic Vinyasa flow designed to synchronize breath with movement. Unlike the stillness of Hatha, Pingala focuses on continuous flow, helping you build internal heat, improve cardiovascular health, and refine your movement patterns. It is a “Fierce and Focused” practice that energizes the body and clears the mind.

Why Choose Pingala Flow

Experience the Power of Flow at Dhamma Yoga

Pingala was founded on the principles of solar energy—vitality, strength, and transformation. Our mission is to provide a space where you can challenge your physical limits while finding mental clarity through movement.

Ignite Your Inner Fire

Beyond simple stretching, this Vinyasa-style class keeps your heart rate up. It promotes metabolic activity and builds resilience through "Sun Salutation" variations.

Diverse Movement Patterns

We move away from static holds and embrace the flow. This class challenges your agility and focuses on smooth transitions between postures.

FAQS

Answers to common questions about Pingala

While Pingala is faster-paced than our Hatha classes, beginners who are physically active are welcome to join. We always offer modifications, but be prepared to move and sweat!

Hatha (Lunar) is gentle, static, and relaxing. Pingala (Solar) is dynamic, flowing, and energizing. If you want to relax, choose Hatha; if you want a workout, choose Pingala.

Please bring a yoga mat, a water bottle, and a small towel. Because this is a Vinyasa style class, you will likely build up a sweat.

The continuous movement and engagement of large muscle groups in Vinyasa flow make it an excellent practice for burning calories and toning muscles.
